We upgraded the roof, utilising the existing insulation and adding more in order to meet Part L of the Building Regulations (Conservation of Fuel and Power) requirements. Amended in April 2006, Part L puts in place minimum energy efficiency requirements for commercial and residential buildings.

The better insulated the roof, the less power needs to be consumed to heat the building. The three-layer system we installed is guaranteed for 25 years, so it will keep this building energy efficient for many years to come.
