Trend for Rooftop Restaurants Hits Norwich

It has recently been recognised as an economic failing that rooftops reward only the privileged few with these spectacular views and savvy business owners are seeking to exploit the views available from the top of their buildings by opening bars and restaurants on rooftops. This trend has now reached Norwich.

Norwich’s First Rooftop Bar

Rooftop Gardens is Norwich’s first rooftop bar. You can find it at the top of the Union Building on Rose Lane. The Union Building used to house the offices of the Norwich Union insurance company. By day, it is still an office but, at night, customers can take the elevator to the top floor and enjoy panoramic views of the city of Norwich whilst drinking gin-based cocktails and sampling dishes from a locally inspired menu. The whole cityscape is on view and from this vantage point, diners can see both cathedrals, the Norman castle, Carrow road and Normandy Towers.
