SMAS Our New Health and Safety Accreditation

Health and safety is vital within our industry and we take every measure possible to protect our staff and customers while we are going about our work. We’ve been in the industry for over three decades. We believe you can never be overfamiliar with good health and safety practices and we recently received another health and safety accreditation from SMAS to go with our CHAS accreditation.
Who Are SMAS?
SMAS (Safety Management Advisory Services) is an H&S assessment organisation with many years of experience working with major UK housebuilders and other expert construction organisations. They have plenty of experience working with contractors and have a team of expert assessors who check the practices of contractors. All of their assessors are qualified H&S professionals, who have completed the SSIP assessor training. They are audited annually by an appointed SSIP auditor.
SMAS developed their own software to help them manage their contractor database, meaning their process is smooth and efficient. Their work ensures companies have knowledge of health and safety practices that keep staff safe during work hours. Companies that pass the assessment receive a SMAS certificate.
What About CHAS?
CHAS are perhaps the more well-known H&S assessors and we will continue to be accredited by them for the time being. SMAS and CHAS are linked, meaning that if you pass the SMAS assessment you can be certified by CHAS without a separate assessment.
