Recent RG Leverett Installation: GRP Flat Roof System

At RG Leverett, we enjoy roofing challenges both big and small. Working within the confines and character of a small home is one end of the scale. At the other end lie the big commercial jobs like this recent GRP flat roof installation at a Norfolk holiday park. Take a look at what we did and how we achieved a great finished result.

The client had experienced trouble with water pooling on the old flat roof. Our first job was to strip all of the old roof away and assess any damage.

Hammering all that plywood in place was a big job. Luckily the Norfolk weather was on our side that week!

Surveying the landscape after a long day. The timberwork is fitted exactly around the skylights and vents ready for the application of the Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) layer that will make for a perfectly waterproof roof.

The GRP is applied.

The finished roof. There will be no problems with pooling now. We worked with the pitch of the roof to make a natural drainage path for excess water.
