Choosing a roofing contractor for your project
07/03/2013
When it comes to choosing a roofing contractor for your project there are several things we would recommend customers look for when they make their decision. These include:
• Accreditations: Check that your roofer is a member of an approved federation such as National Federation of Roofing Contractors, Confederation of Roofing Contractors, FairTrades or Government TrustMark. All our accreditations can be found here.
• References: Your chosen roofer should be happy to provide references from reliable businesses and customers they have previously worked for. Visit our testimonials section, where you can see what our customers said about our work.
• Insurance: Ensure that the contractor has adequate public and employers liability insurance. RG Leverett Ltd Roofing and Roofline has £10m public and £10m employers liability insurance.
• "One product" contractors: Consider a contractor who is qualified to install more than one type of roofing system. This will avoid a "one product" contractor pushing a certain type of roof that may not suit your requirements.
• Experience: Be sure to ask how many years the company has been trading for, rather than their combined years in the industry. We are a family run business trading since 1986.
If you would like to know more about our accreditations, to request references or for more information about the roofing systems we install, do not hesitate to call us on 01603 418818 or email enquires@roofsuk.co.uk.
