RG Leverett had previously carried out a roof replacement at this property in 2017. Following that installation, the customer was encouraged by a third party company to invest in spraying foam insulation in the roof with the aim of reducing their energy bills.
Unfortunately the foam caused serious condensation issues and damage to the roof structure, membrane and tiles. The only option was to replace the whole roof for a second time.
In addition to removing the existing tiles and membrane, our team removed 18 ton bags of insulation from the roof structure. Only then were we able to fit new treated timber battens and a new breather membrane. The old tiles were, where possible, cleaned off and refitted.
New loft roll insulation will improve the energy efficiency of the property and ensure that it complies with the current building regulations for the thermal insulation of a tiled roof.
