We carefully removed the existing roof slates and pantiles and set them to one side. Tiles have a long life and these were in good condition, so most of them were reused. Once the innards of the roof were exposed, we removed and disposed of the existing felt membranes and battens.
We installed brand new TLX Gold insulation and breather membrane that will improve the thermal performance of the roof by up to 86%. You can also see the new graded timber tile battens that we nailed into place with galvanised fixings.
