Why Fibreglass Roofs Are The Best Flat Roofs

19/08/2014
There are several types of flat roof out there, each with their own benefits and drawbacks, but the chief one that we recommend is a GRP fibreglass roof. Compared to other types of roof, such as felt and EPDM rubber, they are stronger, more reliable, nicer to look at and have a great lifespan. GRP roofs are guaranteed for at least 30 years, but the actual lifespan could be even longer than that. The roofs are very strong compared to others - they can support the weight of people walking on them thanks to our slip-proof walkway systems and are very resistant to damage. A great advantage of GRP roofs are they are very easy to repair. The fibreglass allows for repairs to be made by cleaning the area around the damage with solvent sand and then applying a resin mix to the damage, similar in a way to how car chips may be fixed in car windscreens. Whilst damage is extremely rare, you can be confident that any problems are relatively easy to repair.
