Warm roof installation at Whitlingham Hall

Our team recently had the pleasure of carrying out a warm roof installation at the beautiful Whitlingham Hall, just south of Norwich. The hall was originally built back in 1784, before being remodelled in 1865 where it became the family home of the Colman family (of Colman’s Mustard fame). Now made up of several private apartments, we were called to the property to undertake the replacement of a balcony roof. Due to the heights involved and the time of year we erected a full canopy scaffold to prevent any water coming in while we were carrying out the work. Having removed the old roof we fitted the new warm roof system, sealing it with a liquid polyester resin. This type of roofing system comes complete with a 25 year guarantee, so the owners can rest assured that their roof is protected. Warm roof systems are made up of an insulation layer above the rafters and immediately below a weatherproof membrane. In addition to conserving heat within the property its ‘breathable roof construction’ allows moisture to escape, helping to prevent damp.
