After talks with the customer it was decided that we would leave the existing covering in place as a vapour layer, before installing new insulation and a 3 layer felt system. This type of system comes complete with a 25 year guarantee and the fact we were able to utilise the existing roof covering means the customer saved money on the final cost of their replacement.
