Ponding on Your Flat Roofing? We Can Fix It!

27/04/2015
If your roof has been experiencing 'ponding' our experienced roofing team can help you. You may have not heard the term ponding before or understood the meaning but ponding is when water is present on your roof for more than 48 hours after rainfall. This can occur if a roof is too flat to allow for proper drainage of water. We recently came to a school's rescue in Lowestoft as they were experiencing a ponding problem. We were able to fit an insulation system which was specially designed and made to measure for this particular roof. The insulation boards we install are tapered down from one side of the roof to the other creating a completely smooth fall to ensure any further rainwater is drained off correctly. Tapered insulation is perfect for customers who have ponding water problems on their flat roof. Ponding before The insulation we supplied complied with the current building regulations and when it was combined with the existing insulation this brought the roof up to part L building regulations. Once we fitted the insulation we then applied the roofing system on top, this was a three layer high performance felt system, providing our customer with a 25 year guarantee and a roofing system with a lifespan of in excess of 30 years. This was another successful job for us and our customers were happy with the end result.
