Our Contribution to the Hay Hill Redevelopment in Norwich City Centre

Parts of Norwich's city centre are undergoing a vibrant transformation, with the Hay Hill redevelopment project playing a significant role. Located adjacent to the bustling market, this open space has long been a focal point for local residents and tourists moving between Gentleman’s Walk and the Forum, and is set to reopen imminently after extensive works to make the space more inclusive. RG Leverett is proud to have contributed to the revitalisation of Hay Hill by providing expert roofing services for the kiosk and pump room roofs.

We were contracted by local builder Draper and Nicholls, and tasked with installing the flat roof elements of the kiosk and pump room within the Hay Hill development. As one of the few Bauder-approved roofing contractors in the area, we were well-equipped to meet the high standards demanded by this prestigious project.

Architect’s Specifications

The architect specified the BauderFlex high-performance bituminous built-up roofing system for both roofs. This innovative system is renowned for its durability, weather resistance, and energy efficiency. One of the roofs was designed to incorporate a green roof element, featuring a specialised green bituminous mineral finished capping sheet onto which will be laid a sedum covering. The other roof was finished with a high performance BauderFlex bituminous dark grey built-up roofing system.

As a Bauder-approved installer, we adhered to rigorous quality standards throughout the project. A Bauder inspector conducted thorough inspections at various stages of the installation, ensuring that our work met the highest industry benchmarks. Upon completion, the inspector issued a comprehensive Quality Audit report and signed off on the project, confirming that it complied with Bauder's exacting standards.

Meeting these high standards means that Bauder will issue a 20-year product and workmanship guarantee - an assurance that underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional roofing solutions that stand the test of time.
