How Much Should I Expect to Pay for a Roof Survey?

At RG Leverett, we do not charge you for our initial survey and quotation. We have previously been approached by customers who were shocked that we provide this service for free – as other contractors had included a survey charge in their quote. We maintain that this business practice is ethically dubious – especially if the customer has not been informed of the charge prior to receiving it.
Free No Obligation Survey
Following the free no-obligation survey, we’ll provide a detailed written quotation for all the work that needs doing to your roof. This document will be emailed or posted to you within 72 hours of our survey team visiting your property. If you choose us, we will then arrange a convenient time frame for carrying out the work.
No Payment Until Completion of Work
We don’t ask our customers to make any payment until they receive our invoice upon completion of all the work. This invoice will outline what we have done and itemise all associated costs. It will also contain full details of your guarantee.
We would always advise customers to be extra cautious of any contractors who ask for a large deposit or full payment before any work has been completed – particularly if you have not received any official paperwork from them. If in any doubt, always check their credentials with a recognised industry body such as the National Federation of Roofing Contractors or the Confederation of Roofing Contractors.
