Health and Safety at Work: Our Accreditations
28/06/2016Roofing involves heights, heavy objects and ladders. It is paramount that your roofing contractor takes health and safety in the workplace seriously, to keep their staff, customers and the public safe. So how can you tell if a roofing contractor won't take risky shortcuts? The best way is to look at their accreditations.
Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme
RG Leverett Ltd is accredited within the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS). This means that you can be reassured that our work practices comply with current health and safety legislation. CHAS is a scheme run by the government and overseen by the Health and Safety Executive. The safety of our employees and customers is our top priority.
Full Liability Insurance
Our staff are well-trained and we promote a health and safety culture in the workplace. We hold a fully comprehensive public and employer’s liability insurance to the value of £10 million.
Integrity, Reliability and Customer Protection
The Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CORC) and the National Federation of Roofing Contractors Limited (NFRC) are national organisations with strict codes of practice. If their standards are not maintained, you’re out. RG Leverett is a member of both of them.
