When it comes down to a choice between felt and asphalt roofing we would nearly always recommend a felt roofing system to our customers. Felt and ashphalt roofs look similar, but are in fact very different roofing materials.
A felt roof installation requires less maintenance and because it is lighter than asphalt it needs less reinforcement to the supporting structure. We believe it to be a far more cost effective alternative, offering excellent durability qualities.
